Bank of America Corp. said its Countrywide subsidiary got a court ruling that limits mortgage-backed securities at issue in a lawsuit brought by investors, including the Maine State Retirement System.
The Nov. 4 ruling by a federal court in California is expected to limit the case to instruments with a notional value of about $31 billion, compared with $352 billion previously, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based firm said today in a statement.
Obviously good news for BAC, should the ruling stand.
